Thai Apple and Celery Salad

This recipe is a Thai salad made from apples and celery and has many health benefits.Apples are extremely rich source of important antioxidants dietary fiber, flavanoids,. It also contains phytonutrients and antioxidants which helps to reduce the risk of developing cancer, diabetes, heart disease and hypertension. Celery is an excellent source of beneficial enzymes and antioxidants which is very beneficial for health. It is also an excellent source of essential minerals and vitamins such as folate, vitamin B6, potassium, vitamin K and vitamin C.Celery is mailnly made of water and contains dietary fibre and hence aids weight loss.


Method

  1. Mix lime juice, sesame oil, sugar and soy sauce in one bowl and set aside
  2. In another large bowl, put apples, celery and cilantro. Mix the dressing mage in another bowl and toss to coat the salad.
  3. Now add peanuts and serve

Ingredients

Apples, peeled and julienned-2 large

Freshly squeezed lime juice-2 tbsp

Soy sauce-1 tsp

Sugar-1 tsp

Coriander, chopped-1 bunch

Celery stalks, julienned-4 large

Sesame oil-1 tsp

Peanuts, chopped-1/2 cup
