Dudhi Raita with Flaxseeds
Flaxseed is rich in omega3 fatty acids which are known to be good fat and have healthy effect on the heart. Also flaxseeds have been found to contain 75-800 times more lignin than any other plant source which has plant estrogen and antioxidant qualities. Dudhi i.i bottle gourd is a coolant and alkaline in nature. It helps weight loss and it keeps your heart healthy.
- Cook bottle gourd with ¼ cup of water in a deep vessel on a medium flame for 4 to 5 minutes and then turn off the flame and allow it to cool.
- Now put all the ingredients along with the cooked bottle gourd in a bowl and mix well.
- Refrigerate for at least 1-2 hour and serve chill.
Roasted and coarsely ground flax seeds -1 tbsp
Beaten low-fat curds - 1/4 cup
Grated bottle gourd - 1/4 cup
Roasted cumin seeds -1/4 tsp
Chopped mint leaves -2 tbsp
Powdered Sugar- 1/4 tsp
Black salt - 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
