With the outbreak of coronavirus, comes the fear of contracting it. A lot of you have already read about it and know that boosting your immunity is the best you can do to fight Covid-19.
So, here is the list of herbs that you can include in your daily diet for boosting your immunity.
Oregano: Herbs are powerful when it comes to our health, and oregano is a great one for boosting immunity. It’s high in vitamins A, C, E, and K, all of which are good for our immune system, and has anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, and anti-fungal effects.
Turmeric: Turmeric is a superfood herb, with its high antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. The active ingredient curcumin is anti- viral, anti-fungal and anti- inflammatory which helps to fight colds and flus and helps to boost immunity.
Ginger: Ginger is historically one of the most common substances used to help with colds and flu. It’s a powerful agent which helps to boost the immunity.
Licorice root: Licorice is good for so many ailments, and one amazing power it has is to boost the adrenals and support the stress response. Our adrenal system is linked with our immune system. Plus, licorice has been shown to enhance immunity more directly by boosting immune system chemicals that help to fight infections and viruses.
Herbal tea: Both chamomile and green tea are also thought to help the immune system because they contain phytochemicals. These chemicals have protective properties which helps to see off cold and flu viruses.
Hot lemon and ginger tea: Lemon and ginger are full of anti-oxidants and vitamins so drinking a cup every day can be good for your immune system. Ginger can also help increase blood circulation and lemons can help sooth inflammation. For an extra boost, you could sprinkle some cinnamon on top as this can slow down any bacteria in your system and stop it from multiplying so quickly.
